Procedure

In order to install the optimized map the following steps are rigorously done:

  1. Engine compartment check (engine fluids, injectors, leaks, general health state).

  2. Vehicle service history & MOT check.

  3. Test drive. The test drive will reveal anything wrong on the powertrain side and vehicle dynamics. Possibly also some performance measurement are taken (accelerations, fuel consumption are checked).

  4. The next step involves the checking of the status of the engine via the diagnostic port (OBD). This will report any engine warning and, if powertrain related, is investigated in detail. A potential warning on the injectors or turbocharger may mean that the component is at the end of his useful life and may potentially stop us to proceed with the remapping.

  5. If the step 3 is successful (no DSC showed), we can proceed with the remapping.

  6. We connect to your vehicle's ECU via the diagnostic port, read the original stock file, download it and saved in our database.

  7. The original file is then modified according to your specification (Remapping option, EGR delete, DPF delete, Speed limiter removal....).

  8. We then upload the modified file to your vehicle.

  9. In the last stage we test your vehicle again and, where possible, measure again performance and fuel consumption. Just remember that while performance is an immediate upgrade (immediate response in acceleration tests), fuel consumption may need few hundreds miles to settle down and stabilise (it is an average over long journeys).

  10.

The tuning procedure is now completed and the rest to do is to drive and enjoy your vehicle!
